Tamim is SBA's Lead Data Scientist. His primary responsibilities include academic and professional research and publication, model development, and advanced statistical analysis.

Tamim has considerable experience in delivering strategic and tactical business information to the health care and insurance industry in the Commercial, Medicaid and Medicare segments. His in-depth knowledge of health administrative, EMR, clinical, self-reported (HRA) and pharmacy data has driven innovations in methodology for Risk Adjustment, Disease Management, Case Management, Wellness/HRA, Gaps in Care, Preference Sensitive Conditions, Consumer Decision Support tools, alternative bundled payments, and Life Style Management Programs.

He has led informatics groups for CIGNA, United Healthcare and Aetna over the last 24+ years; and developed All-Payer Claims Database (APCD) for Connecticut while working in Connecticut’s Health Insurance Exchange.

Tamim has a PhD in Econometrics from University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles, with a MBA in Healthcare Finance from University of Hartford, CT.
