FSA, MAAA | Managing Director and Consulting Actuary

Rich is a Managing Director and Consulting Actuary. He has significant experience assisting payers and risk-taking providers with actuarial and financial issues. Specific areas of expertise include: Medicare Advantage Bid Development, Risk Score/Revenue Analytics, Risk Based Contracting, Competitive Landscape Assessments, Reserving and Financial Reporting.

Prior to joining SBA, he was a Director at Emergent Holdings – a subsidiary of BCBSM - where he oversaw Corporate Actuarial and Risk Score Analytics. During this time, he was the lead actuary supporting Medicare Advantage startups in multiple markets.

Rich has a bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science from Florida State University. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
